Trailer - I Come With The Rain (2008)

I Come With The Rain is a French production, involving many actors from all around the world. The story is about ex-cop from Los Angeles (Josh Hartnett) that was hired by a powerful corporate boss to find his son. Investigation leads him to Hong Kong, where he is caught in the crossfire between a mafia drug ring and the police.

Directed by Anh Hung Tran, that was responsible in the past for beautifully shot but incredibly boring and tedious The Scent of Green Papaya and Vertical Ray of the Sun, the movie looks promising and seems to combine some existentialistic atmosphere with violent action. The soundtrack was provided by famous Radiohead, which should make the movie even more poetic. On the other hand, judging from the trailer, cast and the poster, the movie will be filled with homo-eroticism and religious references. So I am guessing this will not be a simple action movie for everybody.
After long delay, the movie will be release this summer, starting first in Japan.
