Recap # 1

Just two weeks off, but lots of things happened while I was gone, lots of news and trailers appeared on the mighty web. I'll summarize most important things that I missed with number of posts, just to keep the blog up to date.
So, I've got two exploding trailers for 2012, new Martin Scorsese, very promising teaser for The Last Airbender, two violent trailers for Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and one final trailer for GI Joe.

-------------

Two trailers for apocalyptic, big budget disaster movie 2012. First one is also in great HD quality.

It seems that Roland Emmerich, who is no stranger to "destroy the Earth" sub genre with previously Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, is reaching new levels of imagination, annihilating billions of people and completely wiping out the entire Earth civilization in various ways in this film. The images of world destruction are truly stunning, he sure knows how to work on people's subliminal fears with some sort of sadistic pleasure. The movie will be cheesy as hell, of course, but it doesn't really matter.

------------

Trailer for Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island in sharp HD. It doesn't look like something that Scorsese will normally do, but I like it anyway.

------------

Fantastic teaser for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender and I really like it.

-------------

Two new trailers for Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.

-----------

And finally a new trailer for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

  1. Shutter Island looks good. Leonardo Dicaprio has had some solid performances lately. He's changed a lot since his titanic days lol.

  2. 2012 kind of looks like its all special effects. Hopefully it will have good acting and a good story as well.

  3. Scorsese and DiCaprio are ever a miss. One is great director the other is great actor, it's the winning horse.

As for 2012, the acting will be good and the effects will kick ass, this will look great on the big screen, but I wouldn't put any money on a story to be good.
