Captain Howdy said No

New teaser for the horror treat REC 2 is online, and apparently someone is trying an exorcism to cure the zombies. I think people should realize by now, that sticking crucifix into zombie's face is not going to change anything, you might as well hold Popsicle with the same effect. Have some brains will ya? You are just risking to get bitten and become zombie yourself. Besides, wasn't Jesus undead zombie too, theoretically?

  1. Really looking forward to this! The first Rec was very good. I havent seen the remake yet though. But it seems like some scenes here are like a FPS point of view.

  2. Well, I think that you should see REC again, because the reason of all the mess is a botched exorcism and the reason for the "zombies" seem to be some kind of demonic possession spread like a virus. So think again when you are making fun with captain Howdy! :-P

  3. I probably should see it again, but from what I remember the reason for zombie virus was not spiritual but biological/chemical.
The priest was trying to find a vaccine not by reading holly scripts, but in scientific methods, with chemical lab and substances. The infection is not some kind of a paranormal ghost that for some reason afraid of catholic crucifix, but actual biological microorganism.
This is why I find it funny, they try to treat it like it's some sort of Captain Howdy, when it's definitely not.

  4. I like it that zombies are so violent, this helps to create pure sense of fear. And I need to see Quarantine too, maybe before this one I'll take a look at the remake.

  5. Yeah the zombies in Rec are a lot like the zombies in 28 days/weeks later. Which is kind of refreshing from the slow walking normal zombies.

  6. BTW, people usually think that it was 28 Day Later that introduced fast running and ultra violent infected/zombies, but David Cronenberg already had them back in 70's in his Rabid.
